TWO – DIGIT ADDITION

It involves the addition of numbers between ten ( 10 ) and ninety - nine ( 99 ).

In the two digit numbers, the digit on the right are called ‘ ones ’ and the digits on the left are called ‘ tens ‘

EXAMPLE 1 :

Tens      Ones
  1                             5

	15  +  12  = 2 7

 

First, we add the ones :

5  + 2  =  7  

Then we add the tens :

1  +  1  = 2

So the sum is 27.
